Children's Church

MPC encourages families to worship together, therefore, children are always welcome in worship! However, we do offer Children’s Church during Sunday morning worship for children age 4 through 2nd grade whose families desire to participate.   Children attend the regular worship service until the Time with the Children.

After the message is shared with the children, the 4 year old* and Kindergarten children are led to Room 105 for "Godly Play," a Montessori approach to presentation of and responses to Bible stories.  More information regarding this program can be found at godlyplay.org.

The 1st and 2nd graders are led to the Faith Village Marketplace where parents and other adult volunteers lead them in music, study, and other worship-related activities using "Kids Own Worship," a lectionary-based curriculum designed by Group Publishing.

*Our classes follow the same guidelines as the public schools, therefore, our 4 year olds are defined as children who will be 4 on or before September 30 of the current program year (September - May).
