Nurturing people into a right relationship of with God through Jesus Christ is the most important thing the church ever does. We seek to help people who enter our church to grow in their understanding of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. September through May, the church meets Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m., for Christian nurture and growth.
Children and Youth Sunday School Programs
Opportunities for preschool through high school are the focus of our Family Ministry team.
Infants and Preschool Children meet in the Nursery for simple lessons, music and childcare.
Faith Village is our Sunday School program for children from Kindergarten through 5th grade. It is built on the Workshop Rotation Model. Students visit the Marketplace, the Temple, the Garden, the Carpenter's Bench, the Amphitheater, and the Synagogue, approaching Scripture from a variety of learning styles. (More information)
Middle and High School Youth have their respective Sunday school classes - one for 6th - 8th grade and one for 9th - 12th grade. Resources for both groups include contemporary issues as well as biblical study and mission opportunities. And, there is always time for fellowship and fun each Sunday morning!
Adult Sunday School Classes
The Adult Christian Education Ministry focuses on providing opportunities for adults to grow in their personal faith and relationship to Jesus Christ.
This year we have added Adult Sunday Morning Electives, six-week gatherings that focus on topics included in the major categories of Bible and Theology, Church and Society, Spirituality, and Practical Faith. The format for these gatherings is discussion
January 14 - February 21 electives are: Called to be Human: Living the Christian Life, Pastor John Leggett, Facilitator; The Gospel of Luke, Les West, Facilitator; Listening to Your Teen: Understanding Family Life with Teens, facilitated by a team of leaders.
There is also the option of our "Covenant Class," a lecture-based, year long adult Sunday school class.
